      Hello,

If punctuation doesn't fully help, here's some other ideas:

Children and people not paying attention only hear the last thing you said.
So when you say, "Don't run in the house", they probably heard "run in the house"

Having some header text to get their attention, with the meat of what's important at the end helps.

You've got "Mom" in your example, but that might be too short. Try "Hey mom! This is your reminder to Let the Cat Out"

This gives the brain some time to realize somebody's talking to them, and that front half of the text isn't important if they miss half of it. By the time they swivel around to pay attention, the Content portion of the message should be coming on.

      Hello,

      From Your Computer
      1. Double-click the iTunes icon on your computer to open iTunes.
      2. Click on the "File" menu and choose "Add to Library" to upload a single book file or an entire folder of e-books to your iPhone at once.
      3. Select the file or folder you want to upload. EPub and PDF files can be read with the iBooks app, but other formats can be read if you download a compatible reader from the App Store.
      4. Plug your iPhone into your computer with its USB cable. When it shows up on the left sidebar in iTunes under Devices, select your iPhone.
      5. Select the "Books" tab at the top of iTunes and choose "Sync." You can sync all the books at once or just the ones you select.
      6. Remove your iPhone from the computer when the sync process is complete.
